The hospital has distinct ER departments for adults and children. The Pediatric ER triages all pediatric cases and acute phase care for children of up to 15 years of age. It also welcomes outpatient children for specific assessments and examinations, such as urine and stool analysis. The Pediatric ER is independently managed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and merges with the adult ER after 7 p.m. as consultations become scarcer.
A multidisciplinary pediatric unit established a child protection unit in July 2016.
