The Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Resuscitation Department is located near the OR on the 2nd Floor and composed of five beds with high-performance equipment.
Patients who have undergone cardiovascular or thoracic surgery are transferred to this postoperative unit, wherein monitoring and care are provided by a team of nurses and orderlies who have received special training.
It is supervised by anesthetists specializing in cardiothoracic and vascular resuscitation in collaboration with surgeons and attending physicians.
Patients spend 24 hours to several days in this unit depending on the requirements of each case.
