Notre Dame Des Secours - Services - - PLASTIC SURGERY

PLASTIC SURGERY

This division was established in 1983. During the civil war in Lebanon,   Notre Dame des Secours (NDS) played a key role in providing treatment to those wounded and in need of reconstructive surgery. It currently covers all aspects of plastic surgery and handles emergencies on a daily basis at an average rate of 250 surgeries per year, 70% of which are performed for esthetic reasons compared to 30% of reconstructive surgeries.

Team members are graduates of various schools of plastic surgery (European and American) and are members of the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (LSPRAS). They take part in annual meetings and conferences, and in continuous medical training sessions, making sure that the Division is ready for academic purposes.

The objectives of the Division consist of serving the community and promoting plastic and esthetic surgery among the population. In the future, we are planning to organize general plastic surgery seminars and conferences, in addition to subspecialty and residents’ training.
